Super Eagles Triumph Over Swaziland In Port-Harcourt

The Nigerian national football team, Super Eagles beat their Swaziland counterparts on Tuesday evening in Port-Harcourt.

The Eagles beat Swaziland 2-0 to qualify for the next round of the Russia 2018 world cup qualifier.

Both goals came in the second half. The first was a superb freekick by winger, Moses Daddy Simon.

Goalkeeper Carl Ikeme was rarely called upon but was brilliant when needed. He saved a surprise shot which would have put Nigeria's qualification chances at jeopardy because of the away goal rule.

To reduce the palpable tension. Efe Ambrose rose to brilliantly tap in an indirect freekick as he doubled Nigeria's lead in the final minutes of the game.

Seattle Sounder's Obafemi Martins came on for Ahmed Musa in the second half, Obagoal appears to combine really well with Watford's Odion Ighalo. The strikers couldn't manage a goal though but showed promise.

Chelsea's John Obi Mikel was surprisingly an unused sub in the game.

It was a sad sight when the over enthusiastic Port Harcourt fans rushed onto the pitch at the end of the match. Coach Sunday Oliseh and some of the Nigerian players were barely done showing appreciation to the fans before they rushed onto the pitch.
