Olamide, You May Now Proceed On Retirement

He is fearless. He is 26 years of age. He has won numerous awards. He is a successful record label/movement executive. He has made a timeless impact. He is a commercial success and a street disciple.

Hip-hop artist, Olamide Adedeji popularly known as Baddo has seen it all.
Coming straight from the bottom, he has got to the top already but still climbing. It is indeed rare to see someone that successful at his business who still exhibits unquenchable thirst for more.

From the days of Eni Duro to the Shaki ti bobo era, Olamide has proven that if you believe and work hard, you can achieve whatever your heart desires.

Much credit must go the guys at Coded Tunes especially ace music producer, ID Cabasa for nurturing a very young and raw talent back then. Olamide has worked on himself so much that he refined himself into the current brand he has become.

With the challenges youths face in this part of the world, 4 studio albums in 4 calendar years is definitely a major milestone. I have never met Olamide but his work output tells me he is a really disciplined person.

It takes focus, discipline, hardwork and commitment for one to record an album every year and still make himself available for gigs, commercial shoots, music videos, collaborations and more recently parental duties.

I doff my hat for this street champion who I hear is set to drop his fifth studio album in as many years before 2015 runs out.

Once that 5th album drops, Sir Olamide you can then announce your retirement and still remain a legend of some sort forever in the history of Nigerian music.

Of course, I don't want you to retire anytime soon as I am sure you have got plans to dish out more street-worthy slangs and dance moves in the coming years. What I am saying is simple; you have made a massive impact already and you have been inducted into the 'halls of fame' in our hearts even if you retire this moment

Meanwhile, keep up the great job you are doing with the Lil Kesh and Adekunle Gold brands.
