Nigeria Wins FIFA Under-17 World Cup Yet Again

Victorious Golden Eaglets
The Golden Eaglets of Nigeria beat their Malian opponents on Sunday to lift the Under-17 World cup for a fifth time. The Nigerian side successfully defended the trophy they won at the United Arab Emirates two years ago.

The Eaglets missed a lot of chances in the first half including a penalty kick and the resulting rebound.

The defending champions eventually found the back of the net twice; in the 56th and 59th minutes through Victor Osimhen and Funsho Bamgboye.

Aside lifting the trophy, Eaglet's skipper, Kelechi Nwakali won the adidas Golden Ball and the adidas Bronze Boot.

Victor Osimhen won the adidas Golden Boot and adidas Silver Ball.

The adidas Golden Gloves for best goalkeeper was awarded to Mali's Samuel Diarra.
