Lagos To Train Female Drivers For BRT Buses

For three to six months, about 80 women will be trained by the LAGBUS Asset Management on how to drive the commercial LAGBUSes otherwise known as BRT buses.
The MD of  LAGBUS Asset Management, Babatunde Disu revealed that this move by the state government aims at providing equal employment opportunities for both men and women in the nation's commercial center.

On his part, the General Manager of Fleet Operation for LAGBUS, Seyi Osiyemi had this to say:
“We will first train them to drive a car, then we will train them to drive a bus after which they will learnt how to drive the big bus. We have signed agreement with a driving training school to train them on how to drive a car and a small bus. Then they will get transferred to our own driving school where they will be trained on how to drive a bus”.
