Ribery Announces France Retirement

At just 31 years of age, Bayern Munich's gifted winger, Frank Ribery has retired from international duty. The French man wants to concentrate on his family and club duties.
Ribery had 82 caps for France after making his debut for the Les Bleus in 2006. Here's what he told Kicker:

"I find that this is the moment".
"I want to dedicate myself more to my family and concentrate on the tasks at Bayern, and also leave a place in the national team for the many great young players.

"One has to know when to stop. I've seen so much; now it is time for others to move forward.

"There were ups and downs, but now the time has come for a new chapter in my life."

He scored a total of 16 goals for France.
